Episode 20 recap:

Ji-yoon tells her father: “I didn’t fight the right cause. I fought only myself because my pride and greed. I think I really screwed up my life. I lived a vain dream.”

Ji-yoon confesses: “After what happened my husband, I came my senses. I’m so scared. I don’t have the confidence either. How are they going to get me next time? How am I going to fall again? I’m just so scared now. What do I do? What am I going to do if I’m like this the rest of life?”

Ji-yoon’s father reassures her: “Now, it looks like you’re about to get really strong. Fighting fear isn’t being brave, it’s being reckless. But fighting fear, that’s real courage.”

Prof. Min remembers how he asked an expert art forger to create the copy the “Mount Geumgang” painting that he burned the gallery. He tells his assistants that when he becomes president Hankuk University, he will present the genuine “Mount Geumgang” painting the world.

Han Sang-hyun and Hye-jung find RADE’s website pictures “Mount Geungang” painting titled “The Hidden Catch.”

After receiving RADE’s pictures, Prof. Min calls and threatens Ji-yoon.

The Crown Prince is amazed by how popular Lee Gyeom is and how people can easily talk him. They also see Saimdang facing off the angry tavern owners.

Later, the Crown Prince is awed Saimdang’s paintings. He commends Saimdang for what she has done her community and says that he has learned so much her. When he comments on what the red-painted canvas is for, Lee Gyeom begins thinking that Saimdang is going through some difficult times.

Lee Geyom finds out his nephew that Saimdang’s paintings are being openly sold the market. He goes there and buys back all the paintings.

When Saimdang gets back her studio the village, she’s surprised to see all her paintings back their proper places. She reads Lee Gyeom’s letter her:

“I’m scared you might get angry for bringing the paintings back you. You might tell me to stop caring so much. I’m the last person who would want to see you get upset.

“Don’t worry. I’m simply returning them to where they truly belong. If that still doesn’t make you feel better, please consider them a gift a good friend. The warmth spring is the air. I leave a peony here you, wishing for a flower to blossom your heart as well today.”

Saimdang muses: “Thinking about his love and grace, and remembering the old times, I realize he’s always been the same. The paintings have a place to return to. How mysterious, the will of heaven!”

Saimdang begins painting a butterfly the red canvas where Lee Gyeom has painted a flower.
